Scholarship | Institute of Childbirth Educators

The Institute of Childbirth Educators is committed to growing the childbirth education profession and increasing access childbirth education to under-resourced communities. Workshop scholarships are offered based on a demonstrated commitment to community service AND financial need.

Priority is given to all applicants who increase diversity in the doula profession, specifically people identifying as LGBTQ and BIPOC (Black, Indiginous, People of Colour).

This information is confidential and will not be shared with any third parties. Note that applications are reviewed on a rolling basis and you will be notified of our decision within 30 days. We may offer a full or partial scholarship. All recipients will be required to pay for the supplies provided (min $50 and will be notified with our decision).

Our workshop prices range from $400 to $550 (depending on location) for the entire training. The price includes the workshop and materials related to the seminar. You can find more information about other costs of certification at Lamaze.org.
